Heidi Is Not Perfect

Just a bit of experiment with my art. I drew Heidi (some random girl I made up) in ball point pen, deliberately on lined-paper for the contrast with her stripey top (inspired by a striped top I recently got, but isn't the same). I coloured her by just using the wand tool to pick out rigid areas I wanted to colour in flat, blocks of colour so it could overlap the lines or maybe not colour it fully. I'm not really sure myself why I drew her naked and then 'clothed' her. I suppose I wanted to show how everyone breaks down to be practically the same, so it's mostly personality that counts. Clothes and looks are a second matter in life, even if a big one. I didn't intend there to be a message, it really doesn't mean anything and is there mainly for decoration. So no, I'm not being in depth with my art very much. I think I should have though when I do think about it. I'm overall pleased with the look of this and the colour scheme and I hope you all like it!
